Most Unforgettable Filming Experience:
I believe the filming of “Rhythm of Life” is quite unforgettable. I pretty much like the mixture of romance and a little bit of magic in the drama. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that I have a preference for genres as such. Also I had a character with a quirky personality, hard to fathom and so temperamental. It was a pretty experimental drama and I had lots of fun filming it.

Most Memorable Scene Of Your Own Drama:
This is always one of the most difficult question anyone has to ask me. There are always so many unforgettable experiences, but it’s not always easy to recall them. My latest memory of “The Little Nyonya” scenes would be the one in the well (where I was soaked in water for 10-12hrs), the war scenes (my first time involved in such scenes), the caning scene, and the one in the duck farm where I had to go barefoot on pretty “dirty” soil.
Even for “Together” there are scenes that are quite memorable. My father’s death, the period of time filming at the fish farm, etc. There are many others I believe (from other dramas) but I can’t recall them for now.

Character(s) You’d Want To Try Acting:
There are so many characters that I’ve never tried before. Eg. Angelina Jolie’s role in “Girl, Interrupted”. This is just one example that just hit me, something that would be good to try. There are so many fantastic roles created every day. Whenever I watch a movie and see a role so amazing, I always go “wow! I wish I could play something like that!”
Describe Yourself In One Word:

*Starting Years*

Jeanette Aw was the champion of a talent search contest titled 'Route To Glamour', organised by the now defunct television network, MediaWorks. She was also awarded the Best Performer and Best Newcomer on the same year in Mediaworks. After a year of forgettable roles, Aw was asked to join Mediaworks' rival TV station for her talents, MediaCorp in 2002. She is currently managed by Artiste Networks and MediaCorp. It was at MediaCorp where she truly shone. She changed her stage name from Aw Ee-Ping to the much simpler Ou Xuan.

An arts degree holder with a major in Theatre Studies, Jeanette enjoys, dancing (particularly modern jazz and ballet), travelling and stage performances.
